Watersport Activity Centres provide for all the necessary gear. Charter boats can be hired for cruising Lough Derg and the Shannon River northbound.
Killaloe Lough Derg
Castleconnell is better known as a Salmon fishery but has two stretches where coarse fishing is possible. One is upstream from the public car park at the Shannon where open bank fishing is possible. Lake brown trout is indigenous to Lough Derg and are well distributed throughout the lake, as well as pike and coarse fish. Find more information about angling in the area here.
